Otojatim.com - The Mitsubishi XFORCE has garnered positive acclaim owing to its array of features. It comes as no surprise that this Japanese manufacturer's vehicle has emerged as a contender in the SUV segment, commanding attention.

Rifat Sungkar, a racer and Brand Ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors, personally took on the task of exploring and dissecting the XFORCE's exceptional attributes last September.

The primary feature that caught Rifat's attention was its acceleration. Despite both XFORCE and Xpander boasting the same engine, Rifat noted a difference in gearbox character. The XFORCE's gearbox has been fine-tuned to exhibit a step-up sensation akin to a manual transmission when accelerating gradually.

"Another advantage is that when the pedal is accelerated to 100 percent, it will follow the gear shift. However, during urban driving, where acceleration is only about 50 percent, the XFORCE will enter fuel-saving mode," remarked Rifat.

It's worth noting that the XFORCE is equipped with a four-cylinder MIVEC engine with a capacity of 1,499 cc, generating 103 hp and 141 Nm of torque. With such performance figures, the Mitsubishi XFORCE boasts quick and seamless acceleration.

"This car has power balanced with a high level of safety. Compared to the Xpander, there's a notable difference, especially in terms of suspension. The Xpander and Xpander Cross are already different, let alone the XFORCE," added Rifat.

There are four driving mode options, including Normal for highway driving, Wet for driving on wet and slippery roads, Gravel for conquering gravel or unpaved roads, and Mud for muddy terrain.

Rifat detailed that the X-Force exhibits swift responses. When cornering, it automatically returns to the center position upon release. The shock absorbers have been adjusted, ensuring stability and adept handling of sweeps and turns, with tire pressure well-coordinated with the front suspension.

Further enhancing the driving experience is the high ground clearance of 222 mm and a sufficiently small turning radius. These two advantages contribute to a more comfortable driving experience, eliminating concerns about scraping the bottom of the vehicle when cornering or accelerating on bends or uneven roads.

In terms of safety features, the Mitsubishi XFORCE offers active yaw control (AYC), Cruise Control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), active stability control (ASC), and drive mode, making it suitable for city driving.

Another standout feature of the Mitsubishi XFORCE is the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on the head unit, which checks the tire pressure.

Moreover, the drive score indicates whether the driver has effectively and efficiently driven the car. Additionally, there's an avionics feature to check the car's acceleration.

To facilitate driving in dark and rainy conditions, the Mitsubishi XFORCE comes with an auto light control feature that automatically activates in low-light conditions and a rain sensor that activates when water is detected on the windshield.

Other sensors include the Power Tailgate and Kick Sensor on the trunk door, making it easier for users to open the trunk with a small touch using their feet.

The Mitsubishi XFORCE also features blind spot warning (BSW), with radar covering a three-meter range behind or to the side to detect the positions of other vehicles. There's also a rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA) feature to provide protection when reversing by warning through sensors located behind the car, helping avoid potential collisions with passing vehicles.

Rifat expressed his appreciation for the driving position offered by the XFORCE. "For customers with heights ranging from 150 to 175 cm, they will undoubtedly feel the positive feedback from this car because its visibility is the best in its class, with a higher seating position, giving a more pronounced SUV feel," he said.

The XForce's interior exudes luxury, comfort, and spaciousness. The trunk area is designed to be larger, allowing for more storage space.

Comfort is enhanced with a dual-zone AC function, allowing the driver and passengers to adjust the air temperature separately.

"Mitsubishi XFORCE has a new technology called NanoeX Technology, which can filter the air. So, the air entering the car is cleaner and free from pollution," added Rifat.

Moreover, the Mitsubishi XFORCE AC also offers dry air blowing, which can be used when the driver needs to remove moisture from the cabin, such as drying wet areas.

"Another unique feature of the XFORCE is the audio system, which collaborates with Yamaha Premium. It's called Speed Compensated Volume & Equalizer (SCV). So, this feature can automatically adjust the volume depending on the car's speed,"

The Mitsubishi XFORCE comes in attractive colors such as Graphite Gray Metallic, Energetic Yellow, Quartz White Pearl, Jet Black Mica, Blade Silver, and Red Metallic.

As for pricing, the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate CVT is priced at Rp415.9 million, while the XForce Exceed CVT is priced at Rp382.9 million (OTR Surabaya).
