Indonesia Becomes Southeast Asia's First Market for the All-New Subaru Outback

OTOJATIM - Indonesia has become the first market in Southeast Asia to welcome the all-new seventh-generation Subaru Outback, marking a major milestone for Subaru in the region. The flagship SUV made its regional debut during the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, where Subaru officially introduced the latest generation of its iconic model.
The all-new Subaru Outback debuted in Indonesia, making the country the first Southeast Asian market to introduce the seventh-generation flagship SUV.
"Today, Subaru Indonesia is proud to introduce the all-new Subaru Outback at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show 2026, making Indonesia the first market in Southeast Asia to welcome the seventh-generation flagship SUV," said Edward Kencono, Executive General Manager of Subaru Indonesia.

According to Edward, the Outback has continued to evolve since its global debut in 1994. The latest model reflects Subaru's philosophy of combining capability, safety, and driving comfort for everyday use and long-distance travel.

"For more than three decades since its introduction, the Outback has continued to evolve as a representation of Subaru's philosophy of delivering vehicles that combine capability, safety, and comfort for every journey," he said.

The seventh-generation Outback represents the most significant evolution in the model's history. Subaru developed it from the ground up as a true SUV, giving it a stronger stance, improved visibility, and greater confidence across a wide range of road conditions. Built around the #EveryRoadFeelsLikeHome philosophy, the vehicle is designed to provide comfort and confidence whether driving through city streets, mountain roads, or weekend getaway destinations.

In Indonesia, the Subaru Outback 2.5i-Touring EyeSight is priced at Rp1.025 billion (on-the-road Jakarta), positioning it as Subaru's flagship SUV offering in the country.

Alongside the new Outback, Subaru Indonesia also introduced three exclusive special editions aimed at enthusiasts and collectors. They include the Subaru Crosstrek All Venture Special Edition priced at Rp599.5 million, the Subaru Outback All Black Special Edition at Rp869.5 million, and the Subaru WRX Wagon STI Cherry Blossom Special Edition, a unique one-of-one model created exclusively for Indonesia with a price tag of Rp1.262 billion.

Every Subaru vehicle sold through Plaza Subaru dealerships comes with a three-year or 100,000-kilometre vehicle warranty, three years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, and five years of Subaru Roadside Assistance, providing 24/7 emergency support for customers.

Subaru's booth at GIIAS 2026 features seven display vehicles, including the Forester, Crosstrek, WRX, BRZ, and the newly launched Outback, while three models are available for public test drives throughout the exhibition.

The automaker has also partnered with Swedish outdoor equipment brand Thule to showcase lifestyle accessories such as roof boxes, bike carriers, and travel gear. During GIIAS 2026, visitors can enjoy promotional programmes including the Subaru Wheel of Prize, offering rewards such as a Rp30 million travel voucher, an iPhone 17, a 55-inch LED TV, a Garmin Forerunner 165, service packages, lifestyle vouchers, and official Subaru merchandise. Additional aftersales packages, merchandise discounts, and financing offers are also available throughout the exhibition.
