OTOJATIM – XPENG Indonesia has opened its new Experience & Service Center in Surabaya, marking the Chinese smart EV brand’s 500th location worldwide as it continues to expand its presence in Indonesia.
“Surabaya also has a special meaning for us because it is part of XPENG’s global milestone as the 500th location in our network,” said Djohan Sutanto, CEO of Erajaya Active Lifestyle.
“The presence of XPENG in Surabaya marks our step to expand our reach in East Java, one of the regions that plays an important role in XPENG’s growth in Indonesia. Through this Experience & Service Center, we want to bring closer access to XPENG products, technology, and services for customers in the region,” he added.
Located at Jl. HR Muhammad No. 132, Dukuh Pakis, Surabaya, the new facility is the largest XPENG Experience & Service Center in Indonesia.
The two-story facility covers 1,446.52 square meters and combines vehicle display areas with after-sales services. It features seven service bays designed to handle vehicle maintenance needs for customers in Surabaya and surrounding areas.
The opening gives XPENG a physical presence in one of East Java’s main mobility hubs while extending access to its smart electric vehicles and after-sales services beyond the existing market base.
Customers visiting the facility can also experience XPENG’s current vehicle lineup in Indonesia, including the XPENG New X9, G6 Pro, and G6 Pro AWD.
The New X9 serves as XPENG’s flagship MPV, with a spacious cabin and technology aimed at family-oriented travel. The G6 Pro and G6 Pro AWD are positioned as SUVs combining design, performance, and technology for everyday mobility.
For XPENG, the Surabaya opening is part of its broader network expansion in Indonesia. The company says the facility is designed to provide customers with an integrated ownership journey, from exploring its vehicles and technology to receiving after-sales services at the same location.
XPENG Indonesia operates under Erajaya Active Lifestyle, with PT Sinar Eka Selaras Tbk (ERAL) serving as the brand’s authorized distributor and retailer in Indonesia. ERAL has been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange since August 8, 2023.
