OTOJATIM - Changan has officially expanded its electric vehicle lineup in Indonesia by introducing the Nevo Q05, a compact electric SUV unveiled at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The model arrives with a special introductory price of Rp309 million for the Pro variant and Rp359 million for the Max variant, available exclusively for the first 1,000 buyers during the exhibition.
"Every vehicle we introduce reflects a simple belief: technology should make life easier and more enjoyable. After bringing the Deepal sub-brand to Indonesia, we are now proud to introduce Nevo, a sub-brand designed to meet the needs of young, active, modern, and dynamic consumers," said Setiawan Surya, CEO of Changan Indonesia.
Marketed under the slogan "Smart Drive, Easy Life," the Nevo Q05 is designed for daily commuting as well as longer journeys. It is powered by a 120 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 190 Nm of torque, paired with a 51.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. According to the NEDC test cycle, the SUV delivers a driving range of up to 462 kilometers on a single charge.
Charging is one of the vehicle's standout features. Changan says the battery can be replenished from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes using a DC fast charger, helping drivers spend less time waiting before continuing their trips.
Inside, the Nevo Q05 offers a spacious cabin thanks to its 2,735 mm wheelbase. Cargo capacity reaches 540 liters, expanding to 1,380 liters with the rear seats folded. The cabin also includes 27 storage compartments, providing extra practicality for everyday use and family travel.
Comfort features include ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting, adjustable rear seat backrests, and premium interior materials. The SUV is also equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing the battery to power external electrical devices during outdoor activities.
Safety is supported by 25 Intelligent Driving & Active Safety Assistance functions, covering lane-change assistance, parking support, and door-opening alerts. Changan also equips the Nevo Q05 with its Golden Shield Battery, a high-strength body structure, and IP68-rated waterproof battery protection.
