Honda Opens a New EV Chapter in Indonesia with Super-ONE at GIIAS 2026

OTOJATIM - Honda has taken another step toward its electric future in Indonesia by unveiling the Honda Super-ONE at the 2026 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Introduced under the theme "Culture. Evolved.", the concept represents the company's first move in its Honda Electric journey while preserving the driving character that has defined the brand for decades.
Honda Super-ONE marks the beginning of Honda Electric in Indonesia during GIIAS 2026.
"For Honda, evolution does not mean leaving our identity behind. Technology will continue to advance, but every innovation must still deliver the character that makes every Honda enjoyable to drive. That philosophy continues to guide us as we enter a new era of mobility," said Masanao Kataoka, President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor.

Honda's booth at GIIAS 2026 reflects the company's new direction through a redesigned visual identity featuring Honda's updated "H" logo. The exhibition space also adopts a more open layout with interactive zones and community areas, allowing visitors to experience Honda's automotive culture in a more engaging environment.

The display brings together Honda's heritage and latest technologies. Historic models such as the Honda S500, Honda City Turbo, and CR-Z Mugen RZ are showcased alongside today's lineup, including the Brio, WR-V, BR-V, STEP WGN Hybrid, CR-V RS Hybrid, HR-V RS Hybrid Mugen Edition Special GIIAS Series 2026, Civic Hybrid, Prelude, Civic Type R, and Honda Racing Indonesia race cars. Together, they illustrate Honda's long-standing focus on driver-oriented engineering and its Joy of Driving philosophy.

The spotlight, however, belongs to the Honda Super-ONE. The compact electric vehicle has been developed as the first introduction to Honda Electric in Indonesia. Its exterior combines expressive proportions with design cues inspired by several iconic Honda models.

Inside, the cabin follows a driver-focused layout. Physical buttons remain available for key functions, while the choice of materials and lighting creates a modern and welcoming atmosphere designed to help drivers stay focused on the road.

To preserve Honda's signature driving feel, the Super-ONE integrates several dedicated technologies, including BOOST Mode for quicker acceleration response, Simulated 7-Speed Gear Shift to recreate gear-shifting sensations, and Active Sound Control, which provides driving feedback through sound.

"We created the Honda Super-ONE for customers who want an electric vehicle without losing Honda's signature driving character. It marks the first step of Honda Electric in Indonesia while proving that engineering and Joy of Driving remain the DNA of every Honda," said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor.

Honda plans to offer the Super-ONE in a limited run of 100 units during 2026. The company will announce its official price and open reservations on August 5, 2026. Visitors to GIIAS 2026 can also explore Honda's full vehicle lineup and customer activities at Hall 5C, ICE BSD City.
