GWM Indonesia Celebrates the Roll-out of the First Locally Assembled GWM Haval Jolion HEV

• Marking a major milestone in GWM’s long-term commitment to Indonesia, the event was witnessed by top-level global executives from Inchcape Plc.

Otojatim, Wanaherang, 13 September 2024 – GWM Indonesia and Inchcape Automotive Indonesia proudly inaugurated the production line of GWM at the Inchcape Manufacturing facility in Wanaherang, Bogor, West Java. This event also marks the commencement of local production of the GWM Haval Jolion HEV, a hybrid SUV known for its practicality, driving enjoyment, and efficiency.

Initially introduced to the Indonesian market in July 2024, the Haval Jolion HEV continues to generate strong interest. The ceremony, held at Hall 7 of the Inchcape Manufacturing Facility, featured a ribbon-cutting followed by the roll-out of the first locally assembled Haval Jolion HEV.

This celebration underscores Inchcape’s commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s automotive sector with its first-ever global manufacturing facility. Attendees including the Global Executive Team from Inchcape Plc, such as Duncan Tait, Adrian Lewis, and Ruslan Kinebas. In addition, key executives from Indonesia were also present, including Khoo Shao Tze, Ingbert Grombach, and Constantinus Herlijoso.

Simultaneously, Ryan Zhao, Regional Director for Indonesia, GWM ASEAN, expressed his excitement about the inauguration of the assembly facility.

The establishment of this production facility at Inchcape’s manufacturing plant aligns with our global strategy of 'Localization of Production Capacity.' This approach involves adding KD factories in key overseas markets outside China, further strengthening GWM’s position in the global automotive industry," Ryan added.

GWM’s production line and logistics operations at the Inchcape manufacturing facility span 20,277 sqm, within the total facility area of 411,392 sqm. The production line of GWM has the capacity to produce around 7,000 units annually, managed by around 100 specialized personnel in Production, Quality Management, Engineering, and Logistics. GWM's commitment to quality is evident in its investment in human resources, with Quality Management division undergoing certified training from GWM Headquarters.

This training qualifies them as Authorized Quality Control Representatives for GWM in Indonesia. Notably, during the program, which included participants from other countries, the Indonesian representative was recognized as the top performer, excelling in mastering training materials related to the Quality Management System, Quality Management Process, and Evaluation.
