Milena: A Long-Distance Love Story with Yamaha Scorpio Z
OTOJATIM - For Iqbal, the owner of a 2007 Yamaha Scorpio Z, distance is no obstacle to his passion for motorcycle customization. The Bekasi native has a deep trust in Rich Richie Ride Garage (RRRG), a workshop located in Solo, Central Java. Despite a four-month "long-distance relationship" with his custom project, the effort paid off with a stunning result.

The bike, lovingly named Milena, underwent a transformation under the guidance of Eko Macheda, owner of RRRG. Eko recommended the bobber style for Milena, prioritizing comfort and functionality. "Bobber modifications feature an upright riding position, unlike the more aggressive stance of a café racer. This makes it ideal for long-distance rides or even navigating through traffic," Eko explained.
True to the bobber aesthetic, Milena was equipped with wide, evenly sized tires on both wheels and a flatbar handlebar for an iconic look. To achieve perfection, the Scorpio was stripped down to its chassis and engine before the team meticulously worked on its body, fuel tank, and seat.
In a nod to the classic bobber style, the rear suspension was converted to a double-shock setup, while the front suspension adopted an upside-down fork from a Kawasaki ZX-600, lending the bike a bold and aggressive stance.
The name Milena carries a personal meaning for Iqbal. "I named it after my daughter. Our children mean the most to us. Naming the bike after her reminds me to ride safely, as I always think about her at home," he said with a smile.
