Leapmotor Starts Local Production in Indonesia, B10 Launches from Rp449 Million at GIIAS 2026

OTOJATIM - Leapmotor has officially entered the Indonesian market, marking a major milestone for Stellantis as the global automotive group expands its electric vehicle portfolio in Southeast Asia. The brand made its debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 with two battery-electric SUVs, the Leapmotor B10 and Leapmotor C10, both assembled locally in Indonesia.
Stellantis officially launches the Leapmotor brand in Indonesia, introducing the locally assembled B10 and C10 electric SUVs during GIIAS 2026.

"Indonesia is one of Stellantis' most strategic markets in Southeast Asia. Together with PT Indomobil National Distributor, we are not only launching Leapmotor but also starting long-term investment through local production in Indonesia. Leapmotor is here to become part of Indonesia's mobility journey," said Isaac Yeo, Managing Director of Stellantis ASEAN.

Leapmotor joins Citroën and Jeep under Stellantis' Indonesian portfolio. The company plans to strengthen its retail presence through the Stellantis Brand House concept, targeting 52 dealerships across the country by the end of 2026.

Local production takes place at PT National Assemblers, reinforcing Stellantis' manufacturing footprint in Indonesia. The move is expected to support the country's growing EV industry while contributing to technology transfer, workforce development, and the local automotive supply chain.

Leapmotor International CEO Tianshu Xin described Indonesia as one of the company's priority markets for global expansion.

"Indonesia opens a new chapter in Leapmotor's global journey. Together with Stellantis and PT Indomobil National Distributor, we are bringing electric vehicles that combine advanced technology, global quality, and a driving experience designed for Indonesian customers," he said.

Leapmotor develops more than 65 percent of its core vehicle technologies in-house, including electric powertrains, battery systems, digital cockpits, and electronic architecture. This high level of vertical integration enables faster innovation while maintaining competitive pricing.

The company introduces two electric SUVs for Indonesia. The Leapmotor B10 is priced at Rp499 million, while the larger Leapmotor C10 carries an on-the-road Jakarta price of Rp618 million. During GIIAS 2026, the first 500 customers can purchase the B10 for Rp449 million and the C10 for Rp598 million.

PT Indomobil National Distributor will oversee nationwide sales and after-sales operations through its established dealer network.

"Supported by Indomobil's nationwide distribution network and the start of local production, we believe Leapmotor will grow alongside the Indonesian market and make EV ownership more accessible," said Tan Kim Piauw, CEO of PT Indomobil National Distributor.

The Leapmotor C10 is positioned as a global family SUV featuring a spacious cabin, Human-Centric Tech, Euro NCAP five-star safety standards, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and chassis tuning developed with Stellantis engineers in Balocco, Italy. Together with the B10, the new models underline Stellantis' ambition to strengthen its position in Indonesia's rapidly expanding electric vehicle market.
