OTOJATIM - PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the authorized distributor of Mitsubishi Fuso commercial vehicles in Indonesia, introduced the new Canter Extra Long Bus during the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The new variant is designed to meet growing demand from tourism operators, passenger transportation companies, and intercity travel services.
"Canter Extra Long Bus is capable of delivering reliable performance under various road conditions. Its combination of power and efficiency ensures responsive driving while providing comfort and safety. With a 4.2-meter wheelbase, it also offers greater capacity to support passenger transportation needs," said Aji Jaya, Sales and Marketing Director of PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors.
The Canter Extra Long Bus is currently the longest medium-bus chassis in Mitsubishi Fuso's product lineup. Its extended chassis gives body builders greater flexibility to create a more spacious cabin with higher seating capacity, making it suitable for tourism buses and public transport applications.
The vehicle also features a tighter turning radius, allowing easier maneuverability on urban streets and narrow roads. Mitsubishi Fuso equips the chassis with a long tapered leaf spring suspension to improve passenger comfort, particularly for city and tourism bus operations.
Power comes from a 136 PS diesel engine paired with a 5.428 gear ratio, delivering the performance required for larger passenger vehicles while maintaining the durability that has become synonymous with the Canter name.
The launch reflects Mitsubishi Fuso's focus on providing commercial vehicle solutions tailored to specific business sectors. According to the company, transportation operators increasingly require chassis configurations that maximize passenger capacity while maintaining driving comfort and operational efficiency.
At GIIAS 2026, the Canter Extra Long Bus was displayed alongside four other commercial vehicles: the fully electric eCanter, Canter FE 84G, Fighter-X FM65F Tractor Head 4x2, and Fighter X FN61 FSL Logistic Package, representing Mitsubishi Fuso's offerings for Indonesia's logistics and transportation industries.
Beyond launching a new product, Mitsubishi Fuso also expanded its after-sales services through its 24-Hour Non-Stop Workshop program, now available at 19 strategic locations across Indonesia's major logistics corridors. The service is intended to help fleet operators minimize vehicle downtime and keep their businesses running efficiently.
