Jakarta, Mymotobike.com - PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) has officially launched the newest generation of the YZF-R15. The launching event was conducted online (1/12). The Yamaha All New R15M Connected-ABS and All New R15 Connected offer various features that are different from competitors in their class.
This new motorbike has the design of the latest generation R-Series with R-DNA characteristic of Yamaha's large cc motorbike. The muzzle of the M-Shaped Intake Duct is clearly visible which becomes the M-shaped air channel adopted from the YZR-M1 style.
In that section, a headlamp with an LED projector is installed combined with a Twin Eyes LED Position Light which is similar to the YZF-R1 and YZF-R7. This further strengthens the visualization of the dashing and aggressive look of this bike.
The Yamaha All New R15 Connected and All New R15M Connected-ABS both use a 155 cc, SOHC, 4-valve, Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) engine and liquid-cooled. The engine is capable of spitting out 19 hp at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm.
The Yamaha All New R15 Connected features Y-Connect, upside down front suspension, aluminum rear arm, and Assist & Slipper Clutch.
Meanwhile, the All New R15M Connected-ABS has all the features of the R15 plus a YZR-M1-style Triple Clamp, carbon patterned seat covers, 3D R15M logo emblem, Traction Control System (TCS), Big Bike Engine Switch Off, Dual Channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Quick Shifter.
The Yamaha All New R15M Connected-ABS has a choice of Icon Performance colors and a Yamaha World Grand Prix 60th Anniversary livery. While the All New R15 Connected has Icon Blue and Tech Black colors.
Price of All New R15 series
The Yamaha All New R15M Connected-ABS is sold at a price of Rp. 43,500,000 and the All New R15 Connected is Rp. 38,900,000. The highest type, the All New R15M Connected-ABS limited edition World Grand Prix 60th Anniversary livery costs IDR 44.100.000 on the road in Jakarta.
