OTOJATIM - Geely Auto Indonesia has officially introduced the all-new Geely Coolray at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, signaling the company's confidence that Indonesia remains a promising market for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles despite the growing attention on electrification.
"Geely sees the ICE vehicle segment in Indonesia as still having strong potential, with around 75 percent of consumers continuing to choose ICE-powered vehicles. This aligns with Geely's long experience in developing globally proven ICE products. Geely Coolray is designed for customers looking for a responsive SUV with timeless and sporty styling. Its driving confidence has also been demonstrated through testing at the Mandalika Circuit," said Constantinus Herlijoso, Sales and Channel Development Director of Geely Auto Indonesia.»
The launch forms part of Geely Group's presence at GIIAS 2026 under the theme "World-Class Drive, Your Refined Life." The exhibition showcases the company's diverse portfolio of electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), and conventional ICE models to address different customer needs.
Positioned in the compact SUV segment, the Geely Coolray is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a seven-speed Wet Dual-Clutch Transmission (7DCT). The powertrain delivers 174 PS and 290 Nm of torque, offering responsive acceleration for daily commuting as well as longer journeys.
Drivers can select from four driving modes—Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Adaptive—to match various road conditions and driving preferences.
The Coolray is available in Standard and Flagship variants. The higher-spec Flagship model features a two-tone exterior, 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and red brake calipers, reinforcing its sporty appearance. Buyers can also choose from five exterior colors, including Athens White, Silk Satin Silver, Magnetic Grey, Aquila Teal, and Blazing Crimson.
Inside the cabin, Geely adopts a modern layout inspired by its latest electric vehicles. The SUV comes equipped with a 14.6-inch HD touchscreen, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging, a premium audio system, ambient lighting with 72 colors, semi-bucket seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
Safety is another key highlight. The Coolray features Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 540-degree panoramic view camera, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and ISOFIX child-seat anchors.
In Indonesia, the Geely Coolray is priced at Rp333 million (OTR Jakarta) for the Standard variant and Rp377 million for the Flagship variant. Early buyers will receive warranty coverage of up to six years or 150,000 kilometers, complimentary scheduled maintenance for four years or 50,000 kilometers, roadside assistance for three years, and purchase incentives during the introductory period.
Geely is also expanding its dealer network across Indonesia. The company aims to operate 80 dealerships nationwide by the end of 2026, strengthening after-sales services and spare parts availability as it grows its presence in one of Southeast Asia's largest automotive markets.
