Jakarta, Otojatim.com - PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) participated in the largest automotive exhibition, Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) on November 11-21 2021.

This year, GIIAS comes with the theme “Wheels to move”, which shows that this is the time for the automotive industry to move forward and become the driving wheel of the Indonesian economy.

Isuzu as an automotive player in Indonesia is always ready to play its role as a business partner who is present to accompany business trips in seizing every opportunity, as well as facing various challenges.

"We will always be a real partner in every real journey for consumers through varied product lines to answer the needs of our customers' vehicles, which are equipped with competent after-sales services to always be a trusted partner," said Vice President Director of PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia Jap. Ernando Demily.

At GIIAS 2021, PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia officially launched three models at once, namely Isuzu Traga Blindvan, All New mu-X 4X4, and D-Max.

Isuzu Traga Blindvan now comes with the latest innovations to better suit customer trends and needs. With the segmentation of consumers who are in the business of providing goods delivery services, the Isuzu Traga blind van comes with a wide cargo area to be able to answer the needs of entrepreneurs to deliver goods to customers through a more effective route.

The other two models are the All New Isuzu mu-X 4 x 4 and the All New Isuzu D-Max, both of which are total model changes, both in terms of interior and exterior, technology, design concepts, and strategies so that they are more in line with customer needs.

Innovations continue to be made, both in terms of engine, transmission, safety, and offroadability to get greater output performance.

"By focusing Isuzu on the Commercial Vehicle business and targeting the mining, plantation, oil & gas, and rental company segments, Isuzu through this vehicle hopes to become a real working partner for customers," said Ernando

Furthermore, Ernando also said that sales and after-sales service have the same level of importance. Therefore, sales and aftersales must work together and synergize to provide comprehensive and optimal solutions to customers.

For a long time, Isuzu has improved after sales service, starting from BIB (Isuzu Running Workshop) which reached 145 units, then BMI (Isuzu Partner Workshop) with 73 business units, and more than 2,403 partshops.

“We understand the habits of our customers who require excellent service. For this reason, we also display the Isuzu Walk-in Workshop unit at the Isuzu booth as an illustration of our commitment to after-sales service for customers, "said Ernando.

In addition, Ernando also emphasized that Isuzu is always ready to cooperate with the government in participating and supporting the implementation of regulations, the implementation of the EURO IV standard in April 2022.

Of course, Isuzu has prepared well to meet the Euro 4 standard, including by:

  1.  Isuzu's DNA engine is fuel efficient so that it allows customers to save on operating costs
  2.  10 years of experience in common rail engines, since 2011 with the launch of the Isuzu Giga
  3.  The Isuzu mechanic at the dealer is ready and knows how to handle common rail engines

"Isuzu is ready to serve consumers with Euro 4 vehicles in the future," said Ernando.

Meanwhile, Isuzu's achievements this year are very significant after being forged by the uncertainty of Indonesia's economic conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even so, the economic recovery began to move in a better direction.

One of the parameters is the increase in Elf's retail market share in 2021 which reached 22.9%, with an increase in volume of 41.9%. Giga's market share also managed to reach 13.6% until October 2021 with an increase in volume of 57.5%. Meanwhile, Traga reached 29.3% with an increase in volume of 83.3%.

No less proud, the achievement in terms of manufacturing has also succeeded in making history. Factory utilization, which was previously around 20% with a factory capacity of 52,000 units per year, has reached 59.7% in 2021.

"To be able to continue to produce quality vehicles that match the needs of our customers, since August 2021, Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia for the first time has carried out 2 shift operations," concluded Ernando. (*)
