The New Mitsubishi XForce HEV debuted at GIIAS 2026, highlighting Indonesia's expanded role as Mitsubishi Motors' manufacturing hub for the ASEAN market.
"Today, we are further strengthening Mitsubishi Motors' mid-term vision through our GIIAS theme, Life's Adventure: Elevating Every Experience. One of our important achievements is completing the evolution of Mitsubishi Motors' core product lineup in Indonesia," said Atsushi Kurita, President Director of PT MMKSI.

"Today, we are proud to introduce the New XForce HEV, Mitsubishi Motors' first Hybrid Electric Vehicle for the Indonesian market. With a more complete product lineup, we are able to meet the diverse mobility needs of Indonesian customers more effectively," he added.

The launch goes beyond introducing a new electrified SUV. Mitsubishi confirmed that the New XForce HEV will be locally manufactured by PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI), reinforcing Indonesia's importance in the company's manufacturing network across Southeast Asia.

The move positions MMKI as the ASEAN production hub for the New XForce HEV, supporting Mitsubishi Motors' broader electrification roadmap while expanding the country's contribution to regional automotive exports.

Indonesia has become one of Mitsubishi Motors' most important manufacturing bases over the past decades. The company's local plant already produces several strategic models for export markets, and the addition of the New XForce HEV further strengthens the country's manufacturing capabilities in the era of vehicle electrification.

According to Mitsubishi, the hybrid SUV combines an electric motor and a gasoline engine that automatically optimize power delivery depending on driving conditions. The technology is designed to improve fuel efficiency while maintaining the driving comfort and performance associated with the Mitsubishi brand. Meanwhile, the conventional New XForce ICE remains available, giving customers the flexibility to choose the powertrain that best matches their needs.

Beyond manufacturing, Mitsubishi also highlighted Indonesia's strategic importance in its global business plan. During the GIIAS 2026 media presentation, the company reiterated Mitsubishi Motors Corporation's long-term vision of strengthening customer satisfaction and brand value through distinctive products.

The global roadmap includes the introduction of 13 new models by 2031, with ASEAN-focused products expected to play a major role. Indonesia will continue serving as one of the company's key production centers for vehicles developed specifically for Southeast Asian markets.

At GIIAS 2026, Mitsubishi is showcasing a complete product portfolio that includes the New XForce HEV, New XForce ICE, Destinator, Xpander, Xpander Cross, and Pajero Sport. The exhibition reflects the company's expanding lineup as it accelerates its electrification efforts while maintaining strong offerings across multiple vehicle segments.

The New XForce HEV is offered at a special introductory price of Rp445 million, while the gasoline-powered New XForce starts from Rp388 million for the Exceed variant and Rp399 million for the Ultimate variant. Premium Package options are also available for selected models, adding features such as a Yamaha Premium audio system, power tailgate, wireless smartphone charger, ambient lighting, TPMS, and a two-tone exterior finish.
