OTOJATIM – UD Trucks has refreshed its flagship heavy-duty truck for the Indonesian market with the debut of the Quester Model Year 2026 at GIIAS 2026. Rather than focusing solely on higher performance, the latest model targets one of the industry's biggest priorities—lower operating costs and improved fleet productivity.
“Quester Model Year 2026 represents our commitment to continuously delivering transport solutions that evolve with our customers' needs,” said Johan Kleinsteuber, President Director of UD Trucks Indonesia.
The updated Quester introduces improvements across powertrain, safety, and digital fleet management, reflecting the changing requirements of logistics companies, construction contractors, and mining operators.
Since its Indonesian launch in 2013, the Quester has become a familiar choice in sectors where vehicle uptime and reliability directly influence business performance. The 2026 model continues that direction with technologies designed to make daily operations more efficient.
The truck is powered by UD Trucks' GH8 and GH11 diesel engines, now paired with the ESCOT automated manual transmission. Drivers are also assisted by Fuel Coach, Cruise Control, and an Engine Management System, helping optimize fuel consumption while maintaining consistent vehicle performance.
Safety receives a notable upgrade through the addition of Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Braking System (EBS), and an SRS Airbag. These features are intended to improve vehicle stability and enhance driver protection during demanding transport operations.
Another major addition is My UD Fleet, the company's connected fleet management platform. The system enables operators to monitor vehicle performance in real time, supporting preventive maintenance and more efficient fleet planning.
A key highlight for Indonesia's transport industry is the Quester MY2026's compatibility with B50 biodiesel. As the country moves toward wider adoption of higher biodiesel blends, trucks capable of operating with B50 are expected to play an increasingly important role in commercial transportation.
After-sales service remains a core part of UD Trucks' offering through Astra UD Trucks' nationwide dealer and service network, providing spare parts availability and technical assistance to help maximize fleet uptime.
