OTOJATIM - Nissan has marked a major milestone at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) by introducing the legendary Nissan Fairlady Z to the Indonesian market for the first time. The iconic sports car headlines Nissan's exhibition, highlighting the brand's renewed focus on Indonesia, one of its key markets in Southeast Asia.
"Indonesia is one of Nissan's key markets in the ASEAN region. The arrival of Fairlady Z today reflects our confidence in Indonesia's future and demonstrates Nissan's long-term commitment to growing together with the market and our customers in the country," said Masao Tsutsumi, President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand.
Presented under the theme "The Art of Movement," Nissan's display combines the brand's performance heritage with its latest electrification technologies. The Fairlady Z takes center stage under the tagline "The Legend Has Arrived," celebrating a nameplate that has inspired driving enthusiasts for more than five decades.
Originally launched in 1969, the Fairlady Z has become one of Nissan's most recognizable performance cars. The latest generation preserves its signature long hood and short rear deck while incorporating modern aerodynamic refinements inspired by previous Z models.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 400 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a responsive nine-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive, a Mechanical Limited Slip Differential (LSD), and a refined suspension setup are designed to deliver precise handling and an engaging driving experience.
Inside the cabin, Nissan blends classic Z elements with modern technology. The driver-focused cockpit features the signature Triple Pod Cluster and a steering wheel inspired by the Nissan GT-R, reinforcing the sports car's heritage while offering a contemporary driving environment.

Alongside the Fairlady Z, Nissan also showcased its broader lineup, including the Serena e-POWER, X-Trail e-POWER with e-4ORCE, Terra, and Navara. The display reflects Nissan's effort to offer products that range from high-performance sports cars to electrified family vehicles and rugged utility models for Indonesian customers.
