OTOJATIM - Hyundai Motor Indonesia has made one of the biggest announcements at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 by permanently lowering the price of the STARGAZER Cartenz lineup. Starting at IDR 241.4 million (OTR Jakarta), the family MPV now becomes significantly more accessible while Hyundai simultaneously expands its lineup with new electric, hybrid, and premium models for Indonesian buyers.
Kenny Lee, President Director of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, said, "For Hyundai, GIIAS is an important platform to showcase innovation while reaffirming our long-term commitment to Indonesia's mobility future. We believe that every customer has different mobility preferences. Therefore, Hyundai continues to offer one of the most comprehensive lineups in the market, with a balanced portfolio of ICE, Hybrid, and Electric Vehicles, enabling customers to choose the technology that best fits their lifestyle and needs."
The revised pricing is not a limited-time exhibition promotion. Hyundai confirmed the adjustment is permanent, allowing more Indonesian families to own the STARGAZER Cartenz without sacrificing product quality, technology, design, or aftersales services. The move also strengthens Hyundai's position in Indonesia's increasingly competitive MPV segment.
Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, said, "Launched last year, exactly at GIIAS 2025, STARGAZER Cartenz and Cartenz X have received positive response with its spacious and versatile cabin, modern design, advanced safety and convenience features, and strong value for Indonesian families. Therefore, we are introducing a new pricing for STARGAZER Cartenz line up, making them more accessible to Indonesian customers. Most importantly, this is not a temporary promotional offer, but a permanent price adjustment that reflects Hyundai's long-term commitment to Indonesia."
The refreshed pricing starts with the STARGAZER Cartenz Trend MT at IDR 241.4 million, while the flagship Prime HSS IVT is priced at IDR 318 million. The STARGAZER Cartenz X range begins at IDR 350 million and tops out at IDR 385 million for the Prime Package IVT. Buyers can also choose Captain Seats and matte paint finishes for an additional IDR 3.5 million.
Hyundai is also reinforcing ownership value through its myHyundaiCare ecosystem. Every STARGAZER purchase includes benefits such as an extended warranty, complimentary scheduled maintenance, roadside assistance, 24/7 emergency support, premium courtesy cars, parts availability support, and Hyundai's Resale Value Guarantee, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Beyond the STARGAZER announcement, Hyundai is displaying one of its broadest product portfolios at GIIAS 2026. Visitors can experience the Indonesian debut of the flagship IONIQ 9, the new STARIA Electric and STARIA Hybrid, the latest PALISADE, the NEIRA seven-seat electric SUV prototype planned for local production, and the IONIQ 3 concept showcased as a special display model.
The IONIQ 9 stands out with a 110.3 kWh battery, up to 427.7 PS, 700 Nm of torque, and an NEDC driving range of up to 734 kilometers. Hyundai is offering the premium electric SUV at a special GIIAS 2026 price of IDR 1.49 billion, with pre-booking already open during the exhibition.
Visitors to Hyundai's booth can also take advantage of special GIIAS offers, including down payments starting from 7%, monthly installments from IDR 2 million, five years of complimentary Bluelink service and scheduled maintenance, additional customer benefits worth up to IDR 8 million, and trade-in bonuses reaching IDR 10 million for selected models. Interactive product showcases and test-drive sessions are available throughout the exhibition, which runs from July 30 to August 9, 2026.
