Mazda Opens a New Chapter in Indonesia with Local Production and Three New Models at GIIAS 2026

OTOJATIM - Mazda has entered a new phase in Indonesia by combining local manufacturing with an expanded product lineup. Just one day after inaugurating its first assembly plant in Citeureup, West Java, PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) introduced three new models at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, highlighting the brand's growing presence in Southeast Asia's largest automotive market.
Mazda introduces the All-New CX-5, locally assembled CX-30, and Mazda 6e Fastback at GIIAS 2026.
"This year marks a very important milestone for Mazda in Indonesia. Within just two days, we inaugurated the Mazda Indonesia Plant and introduced three new models at GIIAS 2026. These achievements reflect our confidence in Indonesia's future and our long-term vision to grow together with the Indonesian market. Mazda continues to deliver vehicles that combine captivating design, human-centered technology, and Japanese craftsmanship," said Ricky Thio, Chief Operating Officer of PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia.

The announcement follows the opening of Mazda Indonesia Plant, the company's first assembly facility in the country. The investment represents an important milestone for Mazda's manufacturing footprint in Indonesia and supports its effort to serve local customers with products built under Mazda Global Manufacturing Standards.

One of the biggest highlights at GIIAS 2026 is The New Mazda CX-30, which becomes the first Mazda model assembled in Indonesia. Built using Completely Knocked Down (CKD) production, the compact SUV maintains the same engineering, craftsmanship, and driving characteristics found in Mazda vehicles sold worldwide. The locally assembled CX-30 is priced at Rp499 million (OTR Jakarta), making it more competitive in Indonesia's premium SUV segment.

Mazda also unveiled the third-generation All-New Mazda CX-5, one of the brand's best-selling global SUVs. The latest model features an evolved KODO design language, a more spacious cabin, and Mazda's signature Jinba-Ittai driving philosophy. It is offered in Sport Edition and Kuro Edition variants, priced at Rp599 million and Rp689.9 million respectively (OTR Jakarta).

Completing the trio is the All-New Mazda 6e Fastback, which marks Mazda's first battery electric vehicle launched in Indonesia. The EV recently earned the 2026 World Car Design of the Year award and showcases Mazda's latest interpretation of electrified mobility while preserving the brand's distinctive driving character. The model carries an OTR Jakarta price of Rp850 million.

Mazda's presence at GIIAS 2026 extends beyond vehicle launches. Its 1,056-square-meter booth in Hall 5 features nine display vehicles, three test-drive units, Mazda Lounge, Mazda CafĂ©, Mazda Curated, Genuine Parts Corner, and Owners Club Corner. Visitors can also explore collaborations with Indonesian creative brands, reflecting Mazda's emphasis on craftsmanship and design.

The company is also offering a range of ownership programs during the exhibition, including financing packages, five-year warranty coverage, five-year maintenance support, and promotional offers for selected models.

With local production now underway and three new vehicles introduced simultaneously, Mazda has strengthened its position in Indonesia while laying the groundwork for future growth in the country's premium automotive market.
