GIIAS 2021: Toyota Present with Futuristic Booth and e-Pallete Special Exhibit

Jakarta (5/11), Otojatim.com – After being absent in 2020, in line with the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) decision not to hold the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2020 event considered an unconducive situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, now Toyota is back to join in GIIAS 2021 which will be held at the Indonesia Convention and Exhibition (ICE) BSD City Tangerang on 11-21 November 2021.

Occupying a booth area of 2,394 m2 in Hall 1B ICE BSD City, Toyota presents a complete product line, including the latest flagship products, and various mobility services in Total Mobility Solution to offer Mobility Happiness for All. The booth, with a futuristic concept and design that reflects the future of the development of increasingly advanced automotive technology, further defines Toyota's commitment always to be ready to face various challenges of increasingly complex mobility.

With 22 lineups of Toyota's vehicles from all segments, both passenger and commercial cars will be displayed at GIIAS 2021. Included the lineup of the advanced and newest technology to support people's mobility needs and efforts to support the Indonesian Government's intention in developing environmentally friendly technology through electrified vehicles.

Advanced and Environmentally Friendly Technology

In line with embodying the spirit of Let's Go Beyond, Toyota also strives to provide an experience that exceeds visitors' expectations at the Toyota booth. The implementation of the Covid-19 security protocol, which also includes limiting the number of visitors during the GIIAS 2021, is believed not to reduce the comfort and convenience of visitors when exploring the Toyota booth.

All Toyota product line ups will be displayed in 5 (five) zones, namely Main Stage Zone, Electrification Zone, Adventure Zone, Fun Factor Zone, and Everyday Life Zone.

In the Main Stage Zone, Toyota will display an e-Pallet to introduce autonomous vehicles to the visitors. "As an autonomous vehicle, the e-Pallete is a high-tech vehicle that can provide future mobility solutions and has been equipped with CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Share, Electric)," said Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Anton Jimmi Suwandy.

Emphasizing Toyota's efforts to present environmentally friendly technology and support the Indonesian Government's program in expanding electrification vehicles in Indonesia, the Electrification Zone will also present a full lineup of electrified vehicles ranging from Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV), and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), including presenting the New Camry Hybrid as the flagship model of the Toyota sedan that has applied the 4th generation hybrid engine technology and already launched.

At the Adventure Zone and Fun Factor Zone, which are part of the Toyota GAZOO Racing Zone, the visitors can get a closer look at Toyota GR sports and sporty cars starting from the GR Yaris, GR Supra, Raize GR, Rush GR, Agya GR, and other GR models. Meanwhile, the Everyday Life Zone will present Toyota's flagship conventional vehicles such as the Innova, Calya, Sienta, and other new products.

Toyota also provides a Customer Lounge and Media Lounge to facilitate visitors and the media who will visit the Toyota booth. Furthermore, at the GIIAS 2021, there will be a special session with the media to discuss in more detail about Toyota's contribution in supporting the Government's program in developing electrification technology in Indonesia.
